New Fic: Red Sky At Night

Summary:

Buck and Eddie's stress levels are put to the test when a series of inconveniences precede Christopher's prom night, and their subsequent wedding.

Snippet:

Chris is not as easy to mollify. Which is really interesting, because, like Buck, he seems to forget it’s Eddie’s broken foot. 

“This is terrible!” Chris exclaims when Eddie and Buck come home from the hospital. 

“Yeah, it’s a shame for sure,” Eddie winces, lowering himself down onto the couch.

“Can you even drive?”  Christopher asks.

“Chris!” Buck protests. 

“Uh, not for a bit,” Eddie says. 

Chris looks so genuinely stressed out. He puts both hands on the side of his head like he’s afraid his brain is going to pop out. 

“What are we going to do?” Chris laments.

“Well, I’m going to follow the doctor's instructions and rest…” Eddie says, frowning. “If you’d like to grab me a glass of water, that would be very much appreciated.”

Chris: Dad… is Buck ok?

Eddie: Chris, I can’t be honest about that and still stay here in El Paso.

Chris: oh.

Okay... I have an idea from seeing them pictures of Gavin and his brother in LA at In n Out near the ABC studios...

What if Chris is missing his friends and he asks his grandparents if they can go to LA for the weekend so he can see his friends and of course Buck and Eddie...

And that's how we get Chris back in LA. That's how he finds out about Eddie's plan to move back to El Paso, and then he decides to stay in LA after talking with Eddie about what happened??

(Bonus point if Eddie shouts at his parents with the line "my son is not your do over because you forced me to be man of the house at 10 years old!")
